Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Contemplation by firelight by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,409.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Plaisirs de Paris' in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 120,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Contemplation by firelight von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.409,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Plaisirs de Paris' im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 120.000,00.
