Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Maria Theresa, Empress of Austria, half-length, in a feigned stone oval by Pierre Bernard for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,309.98). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Bernard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Lady, which sold at auction in June 2011 for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,303.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of Maria Theresa, Empress of Austria, half-length, in a feigned stone oval von Pierre Bernard für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.309,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Bernard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.303,52) versteigert wurde.
