In January 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Two Landscapes With Classical Ruins: A) With Two Figures Conversing To The Left; B) With Boats Drawn Up To The Shore by Antoine-Pierre Patel. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,882.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Antoine-Pierre Patel have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2002 the work An Italianate landscape with classical ruins and figures conversing by a bridge was auctioned for USD 19,120.00 (€ 19,399.35).
