Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work The Angler'S Companion by Philip Eustace Stretton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,950.00 (€ 17,190.01), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Philip Eustace Stretton have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 31,897.44) in July 2015 for the work Rest After Toil.
