Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work Calvalry And Soldiers On The March Fording A Stream by Philips Wouwerman. The price achieved of EUR 47,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philips Wouwerman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The departure of a hunting party in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,463,605.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calvalry And Soldiers On The March Fording A Stream von Philips Wouwerman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 47.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philips Wouwerman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The departure of a hunting party im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.463.605,98).
