Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 277,200.00 (€ 255,295.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philips Wouwerman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The departure of a hunting party in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,463,605.98).
