Auction result well in line with expectations

The work An Italianate wooded landscape with a goatherd and his flock in the foreground by Philipp Peter Roos was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in December 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,791.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Philipp Peter Roos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A bull, goat, ram and sheepdog before ruins in a rocky landscape; and A sheep and a goat, with a horseman beyond in a rocky landscape in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 60,738.93).

Die Arbeit An Italianate wooded landscape with a goatherd and his flock in the foreground von Philipp Peter Roos wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.791,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
