Admittedly, works by Philip Sadée have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The arrival of the fleet: fisher-folk on the beach in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 180,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Awaiting the fleet von Philip Sadée kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 18.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Sadée auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The arrival of the fleet: fisher-folk on the beach im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 180.250,00.
