In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work Snipe Watering; And Ring-Necked Duck by Philip Rickman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 780.00 (€ 1,128.65), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Rickman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape studies: A covey of grouse above moorland, Eskhill; A capercaillie in flight among pines, Montreithment Moor; Blackgame in a landscape, between Forfar and Blhy; Pheasant in clearing, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,813.38).

Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snipe Watering; And Ring-Necked Duck von Philip Rickman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.128,65) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Rickman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape studies: A covey of grouse above moorland, Eskhill; A capercaillie in flight among pines, Montreithment Moor; Blackgame in a landscape, between Forfar and Blhy; Pheasant in clearing beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.813,38) versteigert wurde.
