This artwork by Philip Rickman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2008. In the The Arthur Ackermann and Peter Johnson Collection: A Connoisseur's Choice auction, the work A snipe in the marshes, mid-winter sold for GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,351.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Rickman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape studies: A covey of grouse above moorland, Eskhill; A capercaillie in flight among pines, Montreithment Moor; Blackgame in a landscape, between Forfar and Blhy; Pheasant in clearing, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,813.38).

Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Rickman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape studies: A covey of grouse above moorland, Eskhill; A capercaillie in flight among pines, Montreithment Moor; Blackgame in a landscape, between Forfar and Blhy; Pheasant in clearing beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.813,38) versteigert wurde.
