Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A peasant surrounded by dogs, sheep, a bull and other animals within a landscape by Philipp Peter Roos was sold in the Important Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in London in July 2002. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,925.00 (€ 28,591.07), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philipp Peter Roos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A bull, goat, ram and sheepdog before ruins in a rocky landscape; and A sheep and a goat, with a horseman beyond in a rocky landscape, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 60,738.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A peasant surrounded by dogs, sheep, a bull and other animals within a landscape von Philipp Peter Roos wurde im Juli 2002 in der Auktion Important Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.925,00 (€ 28.591,07) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Philipp Peter Roos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A bull, goat, ram and sheepdog before ruins in a rocky landscape; and A sheep and a goat, with a horseman beyond in a rocky landscape beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 60.738,93) versteigert wurde.
