Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,925.00 (€ 28,591.07), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philipp Peter Roos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A bull, goat, ram and sheepdog before ruins in a rocky landscape; and A sheep and a goat, with a horseman beyond in a rocky landscape, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 60,738.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
