Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Phil Dike could be acquired at Bonhams in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work Yellow Shutter changed hands for USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,887.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Phil Dike - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White's Point, Biltmore (San Pedro), which sold at auction in November last year for USD 11,475.00 (€ 11,115.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Phil Dike konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit Yellow Shutter für USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.887,23) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Phil Dike mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White's Point, Biltmore (San Pedro) beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 11.475,00 (€ 11.115,95) versteigert wurde.
