Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Figures (At the Beach) 20 3/4 x 10 3/4 in. framed 25 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. by Phil Dike for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,408.14). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Phil Dike have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White's Point, Biltmore (San Pedro) in November last year with an auction result of USD 11,475.00 (€ 11,115.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures (At the Beach) 20 3/4 x 10 3/4 in. framed 25 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. von Phil Dike für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.408,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Phil Dike auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White's Point, Biltmore (San Pedro) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.475,00 (€ 11.115,95).
