A top price for Phelan Gibb
In June 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Rocky Shore by Phelan Gibb. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 960.00 (€ 1,424.59), 60% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Rocky Shore the most expensive artwork by Phelan Gibb that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rocky Shore von Phelan Gibb zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.424,59) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Rocky Shore zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Phelan Gibb, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
