Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Phelan Gibb could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Irish Sale Part II auction, the work Abstract composition changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 706.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Phelan Gibb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rocky Shore, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,424.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Phelan Gibb konnte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Irish Sale Part II wechselte die Arbeit Abstract composition für GBP 480,00 (€ 706,35) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Phelan Gibb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rocky Shore beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.424,59) versteigert wurde.
