It achieved a price of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,556.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pham Thuc Chuong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deer, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 41,086.29).

Die Arbeit Children'S Writing Lesson von Pham Thuc Chuong wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.556,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Pham Thuc Chuong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deer beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 41.086,29) versteigert wurde.
