Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Todd Mitchell could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Carthage Tunis; and a companion painting changed hands for USD 600.00 (€ 508.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Peter Todd Mitchell have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2007 by the work The Barricade, Naples at GBP 540.00 (€ 802.02).
