Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Peter Snijers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2019. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work A forest floor with a mouse and a chestnut sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,193.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Snijers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A jug, a cabbage and carrots on a ledge; and Artichokes, apples and melons on a ledge, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 93,750.00 (€ 81,154.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Snijers erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit A forest floor with a mouse and a chestnut für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.193,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Snijers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A jug, a cabbage and carrots on a ledge; and Artichokes, apples and melons on a ledge beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 93.750,00 (€ 81.154,78) versteigert wurde.
