Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tilt by Peter Sedgley was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2016. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,586.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Sedgley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Counterpoint in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 74,343.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tilt von Peter Sedgley wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.586,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Sedgley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Counterpoint im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 74.343,05).
