Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Peter Saari achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2010. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Bust with Shells sold for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,347.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Saari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Large Pink Wall with Frieze, which sold at auction in June 2003 for EUR 8,225.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Saari erzielte im Juli 2010 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Bust with Shells für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.347,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Saari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Large Pink Wall with Frieze beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für EUR 8.225,00 versteigert wurde.
