Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View from a beach with fishermen on their way out with the lifeboat by Peter Johann Raadsig was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 3,000.00 (€ 402.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Johann Raadsig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View from Subiaco, Italy in June this year with an auction result of DKK 130,000.00 (€ 17,452.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View from a beach with fishermen on their way out with the lifeboat von Peter Johann Raadsig im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 3.000,00 (€ 402,46) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Johann Raadsig erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View from Subiaco, Italy im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 130.000,00 (€ 17.452,38).
