In December 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Marine Sale, which included the work An Admiral Of The Red And His Squadron Off The Coast by Peter Monamy. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,301.75), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Monamy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The flagship Royal Sovereign saluting at the Nore in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 130,553.58).

Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Admiral Of The Red And His Squadron Off The Coast von Peter Monamy zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.301,75) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Monamy erzielen.
