Despite a disappointment, a good price for Peter Meller
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Apollo and Muse by Peter Meller for USD 357.00 (€ 332.68). This price was achieved in the auction The Art of _Supporting The Laurel Foundation at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Apollo and Muse is the most expensive artwork by Peter Meller that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Peter Meller
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Apollo and Muse von Peter Meller für USD 357,00 (€ 332,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Art of _Supporting The Laurel Foundation bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Apollo and Muse das teuerste Kunstwerk von Peter Meller, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
