Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self Portrait #1 by Peter Max was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in January 2006. The price achieved of USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,961.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Max - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in December 2021 for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,195.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self Portrait #1 von Peter Max wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.961,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Max mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.195,88) versteigert wurde.
