Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section, which included the work At The Ruins of The Dioclesian Palazzo, Spelato by Peter Kornbeck. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Kornbeck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work “Parti af Tempeløen Philæ i Nubien”, which sold at auction in October this year for DKK 42,000.00 (€ 5,627.55).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.083,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00.
