Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Staying In Touch by Peter J. Bailey. The price achieved of GBP 456.00 (€ 653.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter J. Bailey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arabians, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,891.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Staying In Touch von Peter J. Bailey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 653,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter J. Bailey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arabians beobachtet, die im März 2006 für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.891,32) versteigert wurde.
