Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Howson could be acquired at Bonhams in London in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Meleleel changed hands for GBP 318.75 (€ 366.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Howson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 300,500.00 (€ 382,249.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Howson konnte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Meleleel für GBP 318,75 (€ 366,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Howson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 300.500,00 (€ 382.249,13).
