Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Totem by Peter Howson was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 22,046.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Howson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 300,500.00 (€ 382,249.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Totem von Peter Howson wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 19.200,00 (€ 22.046,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Howson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 300.500,00 (€ 382.249,13).
