Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Peter Howson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Refugees sold for GBP 2,048.00 (€ 2,351.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Howson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 300,500.00 (€ 382,249.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Howson erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Refugees für GBP 2.048,00 (€ 2.351,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Howson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 300.500,00 (€ 382.249,13).
