Despite a disappointment, a good price for Peter Hebeisen
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Arromanches, France (Operation Overlord, Gold Beach, 1944), 2008 by Peter Hebeisen for GBP 375.00 (€ 420.46). This price was achieved in the auction Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Arromanches, France (Operation Overlord, Gold Beach, 1944), 2008 is the most expensive artwork by Peter Hebeisen that we have observed at auction so far.
