Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work White Prison by Peter Halley. The price achieved of USD 63,500.00 (€ 59,996.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Halley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellow Cell With Triple Conduit in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 513,000.00 (€ 584,078.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Prison von Peter Halley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.500,00 (€ 59.996,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Halley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yellow Cell With Triple Conduit im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 513.000,00 (€ 584.078,81).
