Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Graham could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Highland cattle, Loch Earn, sunset changed hands for GBP 176.25 (€ 272.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sea worn rocks in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,443.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Graham konnte im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Highland cattle, Loch Earn, sunset für GBP 176,25 (€ 272,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sea worn rocks im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.443,95).
