Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Highland cattle by a burn by Peter Graham was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,530.00 (€ 4,207.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Graham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sea worn rocks in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,443.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Highland cattle by a burn von Peter Graham kam im März 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.530,00 (€ 4.207,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Graham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sea worn rocks im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.443,95).
