Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sketches Of Racehorses With And Without Jockeys Up; And Sketches Of Horses From The Houghton Sales 1973 by Peter Curling was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,463.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Curling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scarteen Point-To-Point, Kilfeacle in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 96,338.50).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.463,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
