In June 2001 Christies in London held the auction SPORTING ART & DOGS, which included the work Mon Plaisir, A Bay Racehorse With A Jockey Up by Peter Curling. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,951.91), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Curling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scarteen Point-To-Point, Kilfeacle in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 96,338.50).

Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion SPORTING ART & DOGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mon Plaisir, A Bay Racehorse With A Jockey Up von Peter Curling zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.951,91) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Curling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Scarteen Point-To-Point, Kilfeacle im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.000,00 (€ 96.338,50).
