In March 2000 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Promenade, Etretat by Peter Coker. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,280.00 (€ 13,770.02), 66% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Promenade, Etretat the most expensive artwork by Peter Coker that we have observed at auctions so far.
