It achieved a price of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,565.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Admittedly, works by Peter Biegel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The water, Aintree, 1964 in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 28,200.00 (€ 43,619.01).

Die Arbeit The Belvoir Puppy Show, 1961: What should have happened!; What did happen; and Sketches for 'The Belvoir Puppy Show' von Peter Biegel wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Sporting Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.565,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Biegel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The water, Aintree, 1964 im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.200,00 (€ 43.619,01).
