Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Salisbury Races by Peter Biegel was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. It achieved a price of GBP 2,422.50 (€ 2,892.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Biegel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The water, Aintree, 1964 in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 28,200.00 (€ 43,619.01).
