Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sketches - The Drum Horse (Blues & Royals) by Peter Biegel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,103.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Biegel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The water, Aintree, 1964 in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 28,200.00 (€ 43,619.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sketches - The Drum Horse (Blues & Royals) von Peter Biegel im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.103,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Biegel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The water, Aintree, 1964 im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.200,00 (€ 43.619,01).
