Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Landscape by Percy Leason was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 2,280.00 (€ 1,363.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Leason - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nude, 1913, which sold at auction in April this year for AUD 4,674.00 (€ 2,801.44).

Die Arbeit Australian Landscape von Percy Leason kam im August 2007 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.280,00 (€ 1.363,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Leason mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nude, 1913 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für AUD 4.674,00 (€ 2.801,44) versteigert wurde.
