Auction result well in line with expectations
The work American Two Setters by Percival Leonard Rosseau was sold in the Sporting Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 55,000.00 (€ 37,445.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percival Leonard Rosseau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Setters In A Cooling Stream On The Grounds Of Overhills, Fayetteville, North Carolina, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 85,000.00 (€ 76,978.81).
