Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ohne Titel by Pentti Sammallahti was sold in the Photographie auction at Lempertz in Cologne in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,197.00 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pentti Sammallahti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Solovki, White Sea, Russia', 1992 in May 2017 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,896.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ohne Titel von Pentti Sammallahti wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographie bei Lempertz in Köln versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.197,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pentti Sammallahti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Solovki, White Sea, Russia', 1992 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.896,22).
