Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peng Yulin could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Ink Plum changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,724.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peng Yulin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,674.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peng Yulin konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wechselte die Arbeit Ink Plum für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.724,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peng Yulin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.674,45).
