In September 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Peng Yulin. The result of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,477.65) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peng Yulin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,674.45).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Peng Yulin zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.477,65) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peng Yulin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.674,45).
