It achieved a price of HKD 230,000.00 (€ 21,825.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Peng Xiancheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Play Polo in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).

Die Arbeit Court Musicians von Peng Xiancheng kam im Oktober 2013 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 230.000,00 (€ 21.825,81) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Xiancheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Play Polo im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
