Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art, which included the work Resting under a Pavilion by Peng Chunshi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,204.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peng Chunshi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fourteen Pine Trees in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 330,400.00 (€ 37,489.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Resting under a Pavilion von Peng Chunshi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.204,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Chunshi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fourteen Pine Trees im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 330.400,00 (€ 37.489,28).
