PEJAC H2O (Special Edition) photopolymer print in black and grey with hand-finishing in coloured pencil on the helmet and bubbles, 2019, on wove paper, signed and numbered E.E 20/20 in pencil, an impression from the special edition (there was also a standard edition of one hundred without hand-finishing), additionally signed and numbered on the accompanying certificate of authenticity, published by the artist, Madrid, in the original artist's case Image & Sheet 695 x 970 mm.
A top price for Pejac
When the work H2O (Special Edition) by Pejac was auctioned at Christies in London in September last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 7,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 25,200.00 (€ 28,680.04). This high result makes H2O (Special Edition) the most expensive artwork by Pejac that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit H2O (Special Edition) von Pejac im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 7.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 25.200,00 (€ 28.680,04) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht H2O (Special Edition) zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Pejac, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
