Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homenaje a Carmen Herrera by Pedro de Oraá was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,574.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pedro de Oraá - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Concreta 6, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 46,250.00 (€ 41,972.96).

Die Arbeit Homenaje a Carmen Herrera von Pedro de Oraá kam im Mai 2017 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.574,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pedro de Oraá mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Concreta 6 beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 46.250,00 (€ 41.972,96) versteigert wurde.
