Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A still life of a basket of flowers, a vase, a plate of fruit and a Parrot (possibly a Lovebird) perched on a box by Pedro de Camprobín was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,750.00 (€ 25,413.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pedro de Camprobín achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chestnuts on a silver dish, a façon-de-Venise glass filled with preserved chestnuts, a bottle and a tin bowl filled with wine on a table ledge; and Assorted sweetmeats on a silver-gilt tazza, carnations and jasmine in a small vase, and an earthenwar in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,601,650.00 (€ 2

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.750,00 (€ 25.413,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pedro de Camprobín erzielen.
