In July this year Christies in Paris held the auction Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve, which included the work Ships at sea with a lighthouse on the horizon by Peder Balke. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,852.10), 16% above the upper estimate. Other works by Peder Balke have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 125,000.00 in May 2017 for the work „View of Fredriksten Fortress in Moonlight“. Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ships at sea with a lighthouse on the horizon von Peder Balke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.852,10) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Peder Balke haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00 im Mai 2017 für die Arbeit „View of Fredriksten Fortress in Moonlight“.
